【The Meditation Session】
【What to do at the conclusion】
【When your meditation has become somewhat stable, lengthen the session. In all the sessions make your practice free from the faults of being either too strict or excessively relaxed, and thereby sustain your meditation. In this way you will have few obstacles and will overcome problems such as overtiredness, laxity, and lethargy.】
First you have to figure it out correctly, once you figure it out correctly, it needs to be "somewhat stable". What is "somewhat stable?" I need to explain this: For example, whether is it reciting Buddha's name or doing meditation, it is like a blind cat meeting up with a blind mouse, it could happen! It can happen all of a sudden, but this does not count. One day you have it, the next day you do not. Once you truly figure it out, it is not like that; you get it right now and likewise the day after. But that is not stable, sometimes it is pretty good, sometimes you can get into the groove very quickly, sometimes it takes half a day, this is when you haven't got it. When you truly figure it out correctly, you get into it and get into the groove right away, just like that, this is steady. Is it stable? Not stable. What is stable? It is when not only can you get into the groove immediately, but no external factors can affect you, it cannot affect you, that is when you are stable.
