Artist Introduction | Zhen Ru
Over the years, Zhen Ru has dedicated herself to helping people achieve a healthy body and mind.
She channels a rich and multifaceted creative energy into prose, poetry, music, theatre, and photography. Her works are emotionally nuanced and stylistically diverse, offering reflections on life and tender insights into the human heart through publications, performances, and exhibitions.
In recent years, she has turned her lens toward the growing psychological pressures and emotional challenges of our time. She hopes that art may serve as a quiet and compassionate presence—especially for those experiencing depression or loneliness—and help open a path toward inner peace and renewal.

Reflections
“My first impression was ‘Wow, what brilliant colours!’ And when I found out that these are actually photographic exhibits of very ordinary items around the home, I was even more amazed because things actually come vibrantly alive through the artist’s camera lens. Her motivation was purely to bring a sense of hope, calm, or even joy to those who view the art pieces.”
Dr. Pua Hwee Leng,
Master of Medicine, Anesthesia
“In a world that keeps pushing us forward, there’s always somewhere to be, someone to become, something to chase until we feel drained, stressed, and exhausted.
This exhibition gave me a chance to slow down, be present, and reconnect with myself.
Through the artist’s lens, I found more than just visual artwork, it became a space to reflect, an open door to healing, and a beautiful reminder that life can be colourful, vibrant, and full of hope amid the chaos.”
