FAQ:

• How many photo submissions can I make?

  • There’s no limit to the number of submissions and photos. However, the photos have to be unique, strictly no duplicates are allowed.

• How do I set my post to public on Facebook?
  On your new post, you can select the “Public” option under the audience setting right below your username.

• When will the winners be announced?

  • We’ll announce the top 3 winners on our IG and FB @bwmonasterysg on the 8th of June 2026 (Monday). Stay tuned to our social media page!

Vesak Day Photo Contest 2026 – Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “The Promoter” refers to BW Monastery, whose social media handle is @bwmonasterysg. The “Prize” refers to Vesak-themed gift sets, Grab vouchers, and tea cup gifts, depending on the Prize tier.

By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Eligibility

• The competition is open to residents of Singapore only.
• Entry is open via Instagram and Facebook only.
• No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
• Participants must have:

• a Public Instagram account; or

• a Public Facebook post visibility
  at the time of entry to allow the Promoter to view the submission.

2. Contest Period

• The contest begins upon publication of the contest announcement.
• All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (Singapore Time) on 31 May 2026.
• Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, private, or late entries will not be accepted.

3. How to Enter

To qualify for the contest, participants must:

• Post a photo of the prettiest spot in BW Monastery on Instagram or Facebook.
• Tag @bwmonasterysg in the post.
• Include the hashtag #VesakAtBWMonastery.
• Share their Vesak Day experience in the caption.

Participants may submit multiple entries.

4. Selection of Winners

• Three (3) Main Prize winners and seven (7) Consolation Prize winners will be selected by the Promoter.
• Winners will be announced on 8 June 2026 via BW Monastery’s official social media platforms.
• Winners may also be contacted through Instagram or Facebook Direct Message where applicable.
• If a winner does not respond within the timeframe specified by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
• The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. The Prize

Main Prize Winners

Three (3) Main Prize winners will each receive:
• A Vesak-themed gift set
• Up to S$100 worth of Grab vouchers (depending on prize tier)

Consolation Prize Winners

Seven (7) Consolation Prize winners will each receive:
• A tea cup gift set

• Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable, and non-refundable.
• No cash alternative is available.
• Winners are required to collect their prizes within the month of June 2026.
• Uncollected prizes after 30 June 2026 will be forfeited.

If any Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.

The Promoter will not be liable if any stated Prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled.

6. Use of Entries

By entering the competition, participants grant BW Monastery the right to feature, repost, publish, and use submitted photos, captions, and usernames for promotional, marketing, publicity, and communication purposes across social media, websites, printed materials, and other media platforms without additional compensation.

7. Entry Guidelines

• Photos submitted must be original and taken by the participant.
• Entries must not contain inappropriate, unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or disrespectful content.
• The Promoter reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry deemed unsuitable or inconsistent with the values of BW Monastery.

8. Liability

The Promoter will not be held liable for:
• Any failure in receipt of entries
• Lost, delayed, damaged, invalid, or inaccessible submissions
• Technical interruptions, platform failures, or social media disruptions
• Any indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from participation in the competition

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter’s liability shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize.

9. Data Protection

Winners may be required to provide their name, mailing address, email address, phone number, or other contact details for prize fulfilment purposes.

Personal data collected will be used solely for the administration of this competition and prize fulfilment.

10. Third-Party Platforms

Instagram, Facebook, and Grab are not affiliated with, sponsoring, endorsing, or administering this competition.

11. Publicity

The winner’s name, social media username, and submitted photo may be announced or featured on BW Monastery’s social media platforms and communication channels.

12. Modification & Cancellation

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the competition, contest mechanics, prizes, or these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

13. Acceptance of Terms

Participation in this competition constitutes full acceptance of all Terms & Conditions stated above.

The annual Auspicious Vesak Day celebrations are back! Come down to BW Monastery on 30th and 31st May, 8.30am to 8.30pm, to celebrate the birth, enlightenment, and nirvana of the Buddha!

Enjoy activities such as:

• the sacred Bathing of the Buddha ritual,

• a meaningful Twelve Deeds of the Buddha Exhibition,

• and a variety of delicious vegetarian delights.

Take home exclusive souvenirs and immerse yourself in a day filled with reflection, joy, and community—plus many more activities for all ages!
