Appropriate diet - Not eating too little

【Meditation Session】
【What to do in between meditation sessions】

What seems to elicit the most afflictions and laxity would be eating and sleeping. So below it tells us.

【Appropriate diet】

So here it is divided into four parts.

【An appropriate diet has four attributes: 1) Not eating too little】

Not too little.

【If you eat too little food, you will be hungry and will become weak, leaving no strength for virtuous activities. Therefore, "not eating too little" means that you must eat just the amount that will allow you not to be afflicted by hunger until tomorrow's meal. 】

It says to not have too little. If you have too little, there isn't enough energy. So you should eat enough to last you until the time you can eat again tomorrow. You should pay attention to something here! Normally when our stomach feels hungry, it is not really hungry or not having enough. No! It is our habit. For example, we would normally eat three meals a day. Then all of a sudden if you cut it down to two meals, then at night you would naturally feel like, "eh, nothing is going in there (stomach)." So there would be a feeling but this feeling does not necessarily mean hunger.
