【此与密护根门二者,如圣无着引经解释而正录取。】

上面这个东西,这两样东西就是无着菩萨引经解释。凡是这种真正的圣者,他说话一定有他的根据。根据是什么?一定是佛说的。他只是把那佛说的这个精要、原则,如理地更明白地阐扬开来。所以说法相,你们了解了这个地方,才晓得法相之美啊!法相之好啊!实在我们修学佛法不能少的,尤其是刚开始。每一个地方告诉你清清楚楚,我们现在总是觉得:哎呀,你不要分别嘛就算了!然后呢不分别在什么当中啊?就在这个痴相当中,好可惜!好可怜!

【The Meditation Session – What to do in between meditation sessions】

【I have arrange both this section on acting vigilantly and the section on restraining the sensory faculties in accordance with the noble being Asanga's citations of sutras and the subsequent commentaries on the meaning of those citations. 】

With the above, these two things are the explanations of the sutra by Asanga Bodhisattva. A true noble being like him, when he says things, there must be a basis for it. What is the basis? That must have been said by Buddha. He only takes the core concepts and the principles, explains them accordingly and clearly to propagate them. So when we say the character of phenomenon, once you understand this section, you then realize the beauty of character of phenomenon! And the greatness of the character of phenomenon! We cannot go without it when learning the Teachings, especially for beginners. It tells you everything very clearly, yet now we often feel like this, “ah, you should not be discerning [e.g. distinguishing between right and wrong]!” But then if you are not discerning, what are you doing? You are in a state of ignorance. That is such a cause for regret! That is so pitiful!
