【The Meditation Session】
【What to do at the conclusion】
【If you end your session while still wanting to meditate, you will be eager to reenter each future session. Otherwise, it is said that you will feel nauseous when you see the cushion. 】
We will not explain the text here first. Let me explain the meaning of it. Then you can read the text and understand it yourself. It says if you have gotten the correct instruction, then when you enter the session, you will be very clear of the subjective aspects [i.e. our mental actions/behavior]. Oh, you will know what you should do. Then, because you know the subjective aspects very well and when you have done it correctly, you will be joyful. It is the same with doing anything else. When you go and learn from someone, and when you do it correctly, you will feel happy, isn't it so? When you first try to figure things out, ah-ya, you try this and that, but you just cannot figure out the technique. Then later when you finally figured it out, ah! You are filled with joy! Then you will be so happy and feel this way, "Ah, this is right. This is right!" For example, if you recite the Buddha's name, normally your thoughts run wild with all sorts of ideas. But, you will get to a point where you can maintain recitation of the Buddha's name in your mind, ah! You will feel so happy!
