The trait of altruistic and virtuous companions of Mahayana path is that we gather to learn the Dharma. When we gather, we do not gossip. We encourage and remind one another of the teachings. These are companions on similar path. Do others make mistakes? Certainly. You do not need to explore the mistakes made by others. What we need to explore are the benefits we receive from others.

Everyone has his own difficulties. However, we ought not to solely improve our external circumstances; all the more, we ought to transform our inner self. You may be slightly slower in changing your mind or having a change of heart, but you cannot reject it completely. To the extent of the improvement you make in the external circumstances, your quality of living heightens according to it. To the extent we enrich our inner self, our quality of life enhances accordingly.

Be joyous from the heart. The moment we have a thought of taking refuge, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will be joyful. Be it a moment of thought or a minute of taking refuge, it is equivalent to a minute of cultivation. Be a genuine practitioner.

When two people argue, we want to change the other. To change the other, the best is we ourselves turn around. How to turn around? Detect our personal inadequacy. The one who first reflects upon himself may be the first to change his karma.

大乘利他善友的特质——以法相聚。我们见面在一起，不是要谈论什么是非，当用善法来互相劝勉、提醒，这就是道友。对方有没有做错？一定有。你不必去探讨对方做错什么。我们要探讨的是，对方给了我什么益处。

每一个人都有各自的困难。但是，只靠改善外境，更要改善自己的心。你可能改心较慢，但是不能完全拒绝。你改善外境多少，生活品质会提升多少。改善自心多少，生命的品质就进步多少。

心生欢喜。只要一念皈依，诸佛菩萨都会很欢喜。一念就是一念，当下做到一分钟，就是一分钟的修行。做个老老实实的修行人。

两人争执时，我们都想改变对方。要改变对方，最好自方先转弯。如何转弯？若能是看到自己的不足。谁先反省了，谁可能先改业了。
