【The Varieties of Karma】 - Regret & Remedy

These two are what we can apply to our cultivation. Though you've created it, i.e.  you have accumulated the karma earlier on, however, you "regret". You say, "Ah! How could I have done something like that previously? This is not right!" At this time then, it will not accumulate. If this does not accumulate, then it becomes a karma you will only possibly experience. Also "remedy", this is the best. The remedy that the sacred teaching tells us  is that, though you've planted the seed, you focus from the root of the sickness for treatment. To give you an analogy, for instance, although you have planted it, though you've planted it, eh, before it sprouts, you ruin it. Or perhaps though it has sprouted, you pull it out. By then, it will not be able to grow. This is called remedy. Therefore, for these last two points, they are what we practitioners specially use to purify what we have created in the past. [The reason] we can purify what we've done in the past is because of these two points.

业果 :懊悔 & 对治

就是我们修行用得上的。虽然你造了,前面造了增长业,但是呢你"懊悔",说:"唉呀!我以前怎么做这个事情啊,不对啊!"这个时候就它不增长。如果不增长的话,这个业就不一定受。还有呢"对治",最好的,圣教里边告诉我们的对治,就是虽然你种了这个种子,你针对着这个病根去治疗。举个譬喻,譬如说你虽然种下去了,种是种下去了,欸,你还没有发芽的时候,你就把它破坏掉了。乃至于虽然发了芽,你把它拔掉了,那时候它就长不起来了,这个就是对治。所以这个最后旳两点,它是我们修行人特别用来淨除以往所造的,以往所造的所以能够那个,就靠这两点。
