【故说轻微是指智者，】

什么叫轻，就是有智慧的人。

【能悔前失，】

第一个，我们凡夫一定有错的，但是做错了，马上懊悔、忏悔：「哎呀！我又错了。」不要去保护它，保护它你就完了。然后呢，

【防护后过，】

以后的千万注意，唉呀，不要再犯！

【不藏诸恶，】

对恶的事情拿出来发露。

【勤修善法，诸恶对治，】

就是这些事情。

【The Varieties of Karma】– One with wisdom

【Therefore, the Buddha said that nonvirtues are light for the knowledgeable】

What is light?  That is one who has wisdom.

【who regret their former nonvirtuous actions, 】

First of all, we ordinary beings will certainly make mistakes.  But when you make a mistake, you [want to] immediately have remorse and confess, "Ah-ya! I've done it wrong again."   

Do not try to “protect” it.  If you “protect” it, then it is over for you.  And then,   

【restrain themselves from future nonvirtuous actions, 】

Absolutely pay attention thereafter, ah-ya, do not want to commit [the nonvirtues] again! 

【do not conceal their sins, 】

With regards to [your] sins, reveal them.   

【and do virtuous actions as remedies for those nonvirtuous actions. 】

These are the things.
