【五有覆蔽心，】就是没有对治。那么同样地，

【谓由邪见不觉羞耻，】

对于邪见不觉羞耻，自己还觉得得意咧！这个真正可怕的，就在这个地方。自己明明错了，自己还觉得得意；自己明明错了，还觉得有道理；自己明明错了，还觉得不承认，还有一百二十个藉口。这个修学佛法最难突破的，就是这个地方，这个千万注意啊！所以我们第一个真正要认识的，就是认识自己━我是个凡夫，自己在无始无明大病当中。就算你不懂，你常常提醒自己的话，这有很大的帮助。

【(5) an attitude that is dominated, 】That is, without remedy. Therefore, similarly,

【due to these wrong views, by shamelessness and obliviousness】

One feels no shame for having the wrong view and one may even feel pleased with himself! The truly horrendous thing is right here. One is obviously wrong but still feels pleased with himself; one is obviously wrong but feels that he has logical reasoning; one is obviously wrong but does not admit it, and will find a 120 excuses. This is the most difficult to breakthrough in learning Buddhism. It is this area. This is the thing that you absolutely need to pay attention to ! Therefore, the first thing that we should truly know is to know ourselves – I am an ordinary person who is stricken with the sickness of endless ignorance. Even if you do not understand, but you often remind yourself of this, this will help you greatly.
