【修持轨理 - 未修中间如何行者】

【所谓密护根门,正知而行,饮食知量,精勤修习悎寤瑜伽,于眠息时应如何行。】

分成四部分。第一个祕密地保护,以及守护自己的六根门头;然后呢,要做什么事情的时候,我们应该正确地了解我们所做的事情¬---「正知而行」,第二个。下面特别开的「饮食知量」,饮食的时候要晓得该吃多少;以及睡觉的时候,要怎么样地努力,还要精进去修。其实前面这两样东西做到了,也就对了,可是呢在我们日常生活当中啊,最大的漏洞就是吃饭跟睡觉,所以他把吃饭跟睡觉要特别说明。真正你们了解了这个,才晓得修行的的确确是二十四小时,二十四小时。

【Meditation Session】

【What to do in between meditation sessions】

(a) restraining the sensory faculties, (b) acting vigilantly, (c) appropriate diet, and (d) striving to practice without sleeping at the wrong time, and acting properly at the time of sleep.

This is divided into 4 parts. The first one is to tightly guard, to restrain our six sensory faculties. Then whenever you need to do something, we should accurately understand what we are doing, that is acting vigilantly, which is number two. Below it particularly talks about "appropriate diet", that is we should know how much to eat! Then when we sleep, how should we strive and still diligently practice meditation. Actually, if you can accomplish the first two, then you would be correct already. However, in our daily lives, the biggest loopholes are eating and sleeping. So he [Master Tsong-Kha-Pa] has specifically explained about eating and sleeping. Once you truly understand this, you would then realize meditation can indeed happen in all 24 hours, all 24 hours.
