这个才是真正严重的地方呀!它那个识心,一天到晚跟着什么啊?跟着烦恼在转,这是一个最大的障碍。烦恼的另外一个名字——无明。无明的行相——贪、嗔、痴,乃至于见、思、十钝、十利、一百零八等等开合不同。由于这个烦恼,造了恶业,种种的罪过,都从此而来。喔!原因就是这样。否则它好端端地你修它干什么?满好嘛,就照它去做。它因为不好,所以你要修改啊'

【The Meditation Session】Actual session - How to sustain the meditation in general.
The reality is not only does it (the mind) fail to listen to you, the worst thing is which direction does it take?
【Furthermore, your mind tended to be obscured by the afflictions and so forth.】
That is what is most serious! What does the conscious mind follow the whole day? It follows afflictions around. That is the biggest obscuration. Another name for affliction is ignorance [Ignorance is translated as "without light" in Chinese]. The subjective aspects of being "without light" are attachment, hostility and ignorance. You can also say the affliction of the view, and the affliction of the emotion, the ten dull envoys, the ten keen envoys, or the 108 afflictions. There are different classifications. Due to these afflictions, you create non-virtuous karma. All kinds of sins arise from this. Oh! The reason is this. Otherwise, if it [i.e. the mind] is just fine, why would you need to correct it ? If it worked fine, then you can go on following it. But it is precisely because it [the mind] is not good, therefore you must correct it!
