【修持轨理】正行 - 总共修法

这一句话大家记住:「一生善行,终成过失。」那么要怎么办啊?告诉我们,
【故于所修诸所缘境,数量次第,先须决定。】

第一件事情,对于你要修的这个内容,对于你所修的「诸所缘境」,整个的内涵不是单单的一点点。我们现在或者说修念佛的,好像很简单,只依「阿弥陀佛」,不那么简单!正行是如何?助行是如何?信、愿、行——信些什么、愿些什么,都要晓得。然后你在家怎么弄,出家怎么弄,「敦伦尽分」,在家敦些什么伦?出家尽些什么分?这个就是这么一个念佛法门,尚且如此!跑到庙里面的那个常住,然后我们从早晨开始到晚上,这么多的事情,都要应该了解。简单的念佛是如此,何况其他的?没有一个例外。

【Meditation Session】【Actual Session – How to sustain the meditation in general】

At this point, everyone should remember this, "the virtuous practice of your whole lifetime will be flawed." Well then what should we do? He tells us.

【Therefore, from the beginning, firmly determine the definite order and enumeration of whatever objects of meditation you wish to sustain. 】

The first thing, for the content of your meditation, with your "objects of meditation," the entire subject is not just any small part. For us now, say you recite the Buddha's name. It may seem simple, just need to rely on the phrase, "Amitabha Buddha." It is not that simple! What is the actual meditation and what are the supporting activities? For the concepts of "faith, aspiration and action," what should you have faith in and what should you aspire? You have to know all of that. Also, how should you practice as a householder versus a renunciate? For "abiding the ethics and fulfilling your duties," what ethics should you abide by as a householder and what duties must you fulfill as a renunciate? This is just about the teaching method of reciting the Buddha's name and we already have to go to such length! When we stay at the monastery, from morning to evening, there are so many things that we should get to know. Just a simple recitation of the Buddha's name requires this much, needless to say about others? There is no exception to this.
