【修持轨理】

第一支礼敬 「一切遍礼尽无余」

【非缘一方世界及一时之佛,应缘十方过去当来及现在所有一切诸佛,以至诚心,三业敬礼,非随他转。】
我们现在能够做到的,就是恭敬至诚。「随他转」要了解,什么叫「随他转」?有几种形式: 有一种随他转,随外境的随他转,别人也拜,你也跟着拜,大家在这个地方,大家都在那儿拜,你也不得不拜,就是这种味道。我们上早、晚殿很多情况之下,唉,苦苦恼恼跑得去,那是随外面的他转。还有一种呢,虽然没有外面,你自己在那儿拜,但是啊随烦恼转,这个仍旧不相应。要怎么样才对啊?如法地、如理地,那个时候去拜,那个时候就是清净的礼,这个概念。

【The Meditation Session】

Preparation (5) - The first branch is obeisance -【leaving none out. 】

【This verse is a sincere and respectful physical, verbal, and mental obeisance that does not simply conform to what others do. Do not take as your object of meditation the buddhas of a single direction in the universe or of a single time. Rather, take all the conquerors who reside in all ten directions as well as those who have already visited this world previously, will visit here in the future, and are appearing at present. 】

What we are able to accomplish now is to be sincere and respectful. We should know what "conform to what others do" is. What is "conform to what others do"? There are a few ways of doing that. One kind of conforming is when one follows the external objects. When others prostrate, you will follow to prostrate as well. When everyone here is prostrating, you cannot help but to conform. That is the idea. When we go through our morning and evening rituals at the shrine, frequently, ah, we would go in a troubled state of mind. That is when we conform to the external object. Another kind [of conforming] is when there are no external objects and you are prostrating by yourself. However, you mind keeps pursuing afflictions. There is still no concordance. So what would be the correct way? That is when you accord with the teaching and reasons, and prostrate properly. At this time, it would qualify as a clear obeisance. This is the concept.
