这两个都是我善知识，我可不要学这个，应该学那个，这里随便一提。所以他们真正地依止善知识，的的确确有他的成就的条件在，这是我们应该学的地方。下面告诉我们，
【谓若不知依止轨理而依止者，不生利益反致亏损。】
这是假定我们不晓得依止的道理去依止的话，不但得不到利益，反而受害。这个是我们要在这个地方要特别警惕的喔！要非常警惕的一件事情。所以，现在很多人跑得来说:「啊呀！这个地方佛学院我去念书。」你要想去念一张文凭，不要来。上次说的混混，那更不可以!一定要在这个概念上面，一开始弄得很清楚。所以对这地方的来说，在座的同修来的，极大部分我跟你们说，来了试！试一个月到三个月，觉得不对，慢慢地回去，正好。这是为什么原因就在这里，你弄得不对的话，不但得不到好处，反而损害，这又何必!

【A summary of the meaning of the previous five parts】
The two persons that I mentioned earlier are both my excellent teachers. I should not learn from this and should learn from that person. I just wanted to mention this informally. So the masters have truly relied on the excellent teachers. This indeed provides the conditions for their attainments. This is what we should learn. The next part tells us this,
【So, if you rely without knowing how, you will not profit, but lose.】
This is if we do not know the principles of how to rely [on the excellent teacher] and you do so, not only will we not benefit, but we will be harmed. This is something with which we should especially take precaution! We should take great precaution on this matter. So, there are many people who would run here and say, "Ah-ya! I am going to study at this Buddhist Institute." If you want to just get a diploma, then don’t come. With the behavior that we just talked about earlier, to muddle around without a purpose, that is even more forbidden! You must understand this concept clearly right from the beginning. For those of you fellow practitioners who are here, I have already said this before to a great number of you. You can come and give it a try here! After you have tried for one to three months, if you feel that it doesn’t work for you, then you want to slowly leave. That is just right. The reason is exactly this. If you don’t do it right, you will not reap any benefits, but instead bring harm to yourself. There is no need to do that!
