Guanyin's Compassion: Vaccination, Doubt, and a Grateful Heart

During the challenging times of battling our worldwide rival, the COVID virus, my 80+ year old primary school teacher reached out to me to bring her for her 3rd vaccination. I checked the address of the vaccination center which she gave to me and arranged to take her there in a cab.

Little did we know that the center did not offer the type of vaccine which my teacher wanted. Though in my heart, I prayed that the medical staff could persuade her to use the vaccine available at the center. However, I knew the best would be to go to another center which had the vaccine that my teacher preferred.

At that time, I have not taken my 3rd jab either. On our way to the other center, I was contemplating if I should also take my jab as I was going to wait with my teacher for 30 minutes after the vaccination. I had already devoted quite a bit of time for that day's arrangement.

I had my reservations about taking the jab as I was soon to host a big volunteer event as the group lead of the main organizing committee. My original plan was to have the jab after the event. In addition, the type of vaccination which I planned to take differed from my teacher's choice! Thus, I turned to the compassionate Guan Yin for advice.

The Guan Yin Lot which I was given, told me to go ahead and not be afraid as all will be fine.

Thus, I took jab with my teacher. So very grateful to the compassionate Guan Yin for blessing me with the successful completion of the event for the monastery with no side effects from the jab.
