皈依 : 什么是法宝

【最下法宝，亦是由其初修业时，远一分过，修一分德，断证二事，倍转胜进而为安立，非离此外，忽从他来。】

这个才是法宝。法以教、证为体，大家还记住吧？法是什么？内涵——教、证两样东西。「教」是告诉我们法的特质是什么，如何行，得到什么好处，这样。然后呢你学会了，照着这个教去行，「验证」了，如法如理得到这个圆满的东西，叫作法宝。所以最起码的，乃至于一点点，都由于如法地听闻、理解，然后呢照着所理解的如理修持。结果经过这个修持以后，远过、积德。远一分过，就离开一分苦；积一分德，就得到一分乐。

【The Precepts of Refuge】-  What is the Teaching Jewel

【With regard to this, the ultimate teaching jewel is defined as being the special fulfilment of the gradual increase of two things—the beginning practitioner's elimination of a mere portion of faults, and his or her knowledge that brings about a mere portion of good qualities. This is not something that appears adventitiously. 】

This is the Teaching Jewel. The Teaching is comprised of the scriptural knowledge [教] and the experiential knowledge [证],everyone still remembers this right? What is the Teaching? The content is - the scriptural knowledge and experiential knowledge. "Scriptural Knowledge" tells us what is the characteristic of the Teaching, how to practice and what are the benefits, just like this. Then once you have learned it, you follow the Teaching to practice  and "validate it through experience". This quintessential thing which you have attained in accordance to the principles is called the Teaching Jewel. Therefore, at the very least, or even a mere portion of it [i.e. the Teaching Jewel], all come from proper listening, understanding, and then practicing according to what is understood. As a result of this practice, you move away from faults and accumulate good qualities. Eliminating a portion of faults, you will eliminate a portion of suffering. Accumulating a portion of good qualities, you will obtain a portion of happiness.
