However, now we seem to have this paradox where we would say that we have studied the scriptures and commentaries at length, and yet we feel that we are unable to practice in concordance with the principles, why is this so? The reason is you have not skillfully understood this principle. In the end, even though the scriptures and commentaries are the best discourses, because you are not skillful (in understanding), you cannot see the true quintessence of the discourse.
