我们现在动不动看这个不行，那个不行，看不起别人，那表示我们啊最多也只是一个不定聚，弄得不好的话，我们就在邪定聚当中。所以决定种性的众生，地上到贤位，没有一个人例外的，都是一心一意地仰赖依靠善知识，这就是我们学习的榜样，学习的榜样。

[Relying on the Teacher] – How to keep up with the footsteps of Sages

We would now in every instance be looking at how this is not good, and that is not good. We would look down on others. That means we are, at best, considered unstable (on the path). Worse still, we could be unstable with wrong views. So for the living beings that have the definite qualities, from the least accomplished to those who have attained excellent positions, without any exception, all of them wholeheartedly depend and rely on their excellent teachers. They are our role models to learn from, our role models to learn from.
