Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva holds a pearl in his left hand to show the way to heaven, and a monk staff in his right hand, that shakes open the gates of hell. With great aspirations, he will only attain Buddhahood after all beings are liberated. On Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s birthday, let us recall his great compassionate aspirations, make repentance, and 10 offerings to the Bodhisattva, including Bright golden lamp. These merits can be dedicated to our parents and parents of past lifetimes; may they attain peace and happiness.
