Harvest the beautiful virtues. Look forward to learning together!

So many of Master Jih-Chang’s kind-hearted disciples are congregated here at the Master Remembrance Day’s live event. All of you are the most beautiful flowers, like a sea of virtuous flowers displayed at every corner of the event to offer to Master, similar to a Mandala offering before Master’s seat. We use our virtues as an offering to repay his kindness! As a consequence of his teachings and guidance, I have become kinder and truly realize the need to care for others as well. What is meant by “the need to care for others?” That is to say, when I embark on the Mahayana path, even though the Bodhisattva path appears to be as distant as the unreachable beautiful stars high up in the sky, owing to Master’s guidance, even a little self like me has also begun to embark on this path.
Having been a volunteer for countless times and taking Lamrim lessons, even a little self like me also wishes to be a Bodhisattva. This is indeed rare and commendable! We repeatedly cast off our weak-willed minds and destroy our self-interests, because we wish to devote our lives to accomplish a much greater deed that gives happiness to everyone. This is such an admirable virtue. Hence, I am very moved to see everyone seated there today!
I am always thinking, “What is the role of a successor? What am I supposed to take over?” I used to think that, since Master has passed the responsibility to me, I would also wish to have the same aspiration as Master, which is, to guard everyone’s inner virtues, guard the path you are about to take and guard everyone’s inner direction. So long as we do not lose our directions whilst making choices in the face of challenges, and always choose the path of virtuous, we would always be doing what pleases our Teachers. Doing what pleases our Teachers not only benefit us, it also benefits the society. As we gradually feel more and more blessed, happier and kinder, this should be what Master wanted me to take over.
Many years have passed, but I have yet to meet all of you. I am scanning every single area on the screen today. I could see all your faces clearly, noting that you are listening attentively and some are even smiling. I wish to tell you that I miss everyone very much. At times, I wish I could just fix on a pair of wings and fly over and share some good news with you If anyone of you feels anxious or uneasy, I wish very much to go over and talk to you, to tell you that, “It really does not matter. Thus, do not take it too seriously. As long as we persevere to be a good and kind person, despite encountering any challenging circumstances, we should hold on to our inner virtues. This is really a smooth and steady path. Hence, you should neither be fearful nor be worried at all.
Although for now, you can see me from the screen only, I hope you can feel my warmth through my greetings to you. It is very cold here and the maple leaves have turned red. Today, I stepped out for a while and noticed that not just the maple leaves but also some oak trees, and what is known as "prairie fire" trees and the leaves of some wild flowers have also become red! In the past, I didn't notice that, as I have eyes only on the maple leaves thinking that only they would turn red but now, I realised that there are so many types of red leaves around! Then, I thought of all of you in different professions and are learning the Lamrim -- I don't know why I will start thinking of your faces during that time. Although I can't visualise every face clearly, I can feel that at the time when each leaf - not just the maple leaves, turns red, I think this year's Master Remembrance Day will be a day that all of you will once again be collecting the merits from all the virtuous deeds you have done. Your virtuous deeds will be even more beautiful than all the red (autumn) leaves. They are able to pass through time and space, shining brilliantly before me, so brilliantly that it is impossible for me to forget you and I will surely think of you! I must overcome all the challenging situations, to reunite and learn together with you.
Master said this to me, “Hurry up, come to Taiwan quickly and let’s learn together!” I also have such a wish, and hence, although you have been waiting for years, do not be discouraged, please don’t ever be discouraged! Because I am still working hard, very hard, to go Taiwan more frequently and be able to stay longer each time. Because we really need to learn together, discuss so many things together and then I want to see your faces, your eyes, and study Lamrim together with you. Think about it, if one day we have a huge classroom and able to say, “Everyone, let’s open the textbook, turn to this particular page. Good! Next, let's look at line….” Wow! How delightful it will be. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, I was also thinking if it is possible to distribute mooncakes to all of you, and everyone is able to receive a mooncake in a swift moment.
So all of you, please persevere, do not be afraid! So long we continue to do virtuous deeds as we move along, doing things that are beneficial to ourselves, our family and society. The virtuous deeds that we are doing now, benefit beings from mankind to small animals and even extending to the ocean. We are gradually connecting many kind-hearted people, in the hope to encourage the act of virtuous deeds extensively, this is such a wonderful thing! Therefore, I look forward to this day earnestly. You mustn't stop learning, and never stop doing virtuous deeds. Do not even have a single doubt in this but to continue to persevere and walk on. To eradicate suffering and attain happiness, understand that there are causes and their effects, do not doubt this. I will be very motivated to see that many years later, all of you will be even kinder than now! Think about it and ask yourself, "Many years later, will I still be the same 'me' as now?" You will be so kind that merely thinking about it will make you feel so joyous.
I hope that everyone can smile more often, always speak kindly and with gratitude. I also hope that you will continue to walk on this virtuous path, do not be afraid or have a single doubt. I hope that we can meet real soon and be able to learn together. Thank you, thank you! Please remember, must remember, I am thinking of you and must remember that I miss you! Please take good care, be it your health, mind or studies, i.e. learning the Lamrim, you must take good care of yourself.

这么多善良的、师父的弟子们，坐在忆师恩法会的现场，你们就是一朵一朵最美的花，铺开在这个现场供养著师父，就是一片善行的花海，像一个曼陀罗一样供养在师父的座前，我们用我们的善行来供养他、报答他！因为他的教诲和引领，我真的变善良了；因为他的教诲和引领，我真的开始意识到，我必须关心他人。“必须关心他人”是什么呢？就是我将走向大乘，虽然菩萨行在我们看起来好像天上的星星一般很高远很美，但是因为师父引领，小小的我也开始走上了这条路。
透过很多很多次的义工、广论班的学习，居然小小的我也想去做一个菩萨，这是何等的难能可贵啊！我们一再一再地摆脱了怯弱之心，利己的心一再一再地被摧毁，我们想把我们的生命去奉献一个更大的、所有的人都会快乐的事情，这是多么了不起的一个善业。所以今天看到大家坐在那里，我是非常非常地感动！
我一直在想：“接班人是做什么的，我到底是接什么？”我以前曾经想，师父把你们交给了我，我也想像师父那样发心，守护著大家内心的善行，守护著将要走的路，守护著大家内心的方向。只要我们在很多境界的取舍中不迷路，永远择善而行，永远作师所喜——作师所喜就是对你好的，也是对社会大众好的。那么只要我们越来越幸福、越来越快乐、越来越善良，应该就是师父要我接的班。
相隔多年都没有全部地见到大家，今天在屏幕里我有一区一区地看。此刻你们的脸在我面前还是满清晰的，我发现你们在很认真地听，有人在微笑。我想跟你们说：“其实我满想念大家的！”有的时候我恨不得插了一双翅膀赶快飞去，有一些好消息想跟你们分享；或者当大家开始产生焦灼或者心里不安的时候，我也很想去跟你们说几句话，想跟你们说：“其实没关系，不用想得那么严重！只要坚持做一个好人、坚持做一个善良的人，在任何风雨来临的时候，要守住内心的善行，其实这条路就是安稳的，你不需要那么害怕、那么担心。”
现在好像我在屏幕里，但是我希望我表达的心，你们能够感受到温暖。我这边已经很冷了，红叶都红了。今天我出去看了一下，发现红的不仅仅是红叶，好像一些橡木啊，还有那叫“草原火”的，还有一些野花的叶子都红了！我以前都没有发现，眼睛只盯著枫叶，觉得只有枫叶会红，现在发现怎么这么多红的叶子！然后我就想到了你们在各行各业、在学《广论》的时候——不知道为什么那时候就会想到你们的脸。虽然我无法清晰地想到每一个人的脸，但会觉得在每一片红叶——不只是枫叶，在好多叶子都红了的时候，我在想今年的忆师恩法会可能又是大家一个收获善行的日子。你们的善行会比片片红叶更加地美丽，会穿越时空在我的眼前辉耀，让我不能忘记，让我必须想念你们！一定要穿越重重的困境，跟大家团聚，跟大家一起学习。
师父说：“快一点、快一点去台湾，来一起学习！”我也是这样的一个意愿，所以你们虽然等了好多年，千万别灰心，千万别灰心喔！因为我还在非常努力非常努力，就是要多一点去台湾，去一次待久一点。因为我们真的要一起学习，很多事要一起讨论，然后我想看到你们的脸，看到你们的眼睛，跟你们一起学《广论》。想一想，如果我们有一天有一个这么大的课堂，说：“大家把书打开多少页，好！看第几行……”哇！那是何等快乐的事情。在中秋的时候，我也想是不是可以给你们每个人发一块月饼，一下子每个人都有一块月饼。
所以，诸位一定要坚持喔，一定要坚持，不要害怕！只要我们在一路行善，在做对自己、对家人、对社会都有益的事情。我们现在的善行，从人类扩展到其他的小动物，甚至扩展到了海洋，我们都在慢慢地连结很多善心人士，希望能够推动广大的善行，这是一件多么美好的事情！所以，非常非常非常地期待诸位，不要停下学习的脚步，千万不要停下行善的脚步，不要怀疑，继续坚定地走下去。离苦得乐是有因必有果，这一点千万不要怀疑。我非常非常乐意看到，很多年之后，诸位比现在更善良了！想一想：“这很多年之后的我，和之前的我还是一个人吗？”善良到你自己想一想都感到陶醉。
希望大家能够常常微笑，常常说出良善的语言、感恩的语言，希望你们行善的脚步要继续前行，不要怕、不要怀疑。希望我们早一点见面，能够一起学习。谢谢，谢谢！要记得，要记得喔，我想念你们，要记得喔，我想念你们喔！一定要多保重喔，无论是身心，无论是学业——学业就是学《广论》的意思，要好好地多保重自己。
