Difference between “Appropriateness”

Sravakas’ main intention is to benefit self, they practice for self-discipline, not to benefit others. Thus with regards to matters that benefit others, they have less involvement, activity, and desire, this is appropriate. However, Bodhisattvas’ main intention is to benefit others, at any circumstance, bring benefits to all beings. If a Bodhisattva has less involvement, activity, and desire when benefiting others, that would be inappropriate.
