There are two pre-requisites when it comes to listening to the most [complete and supreme teachings]:
1) Unobscured by ignorance, being non-partisan towards neither nihilism or eternalism, nor attachment to the belief in

(i) the existence of an inherently existent self and

(ii) reality of phenomena.
