Our Conference will consist of three panel discussions, each exploring common workplace issues faced by Young Adults. You will get to hear from and interact with a group of experienced Buddhist working professionals, to learn how they manage and cope in such difficult situations.
The first panel discussion will explore the theme of:
Thriving Compassionately in the Dark
It is commonplace to see a work environment filled with high levels of stress, different agendas, proud personalities and volatile social dynamics, but rare to find one where all employees are collaborating harmoniously. With the bulk of our time spent in the office, such toxic environments may cause us to feel disheartened and dread going to work. How can we, as Buddhists, find the motivation to practice compassion in such difficult circumstances? How do we maintain a positive outlook and believe in the goodness of mankind even when everyone around me is so petty-minded and contentious?
We believe that we as Buddhists, can rise above the negativity with the teachings that we have learnt and not only do that for ourselves, but for the betterment of others.
