《密集嘛》净远法师唱诵 | Migtsema by Jing Yuan Fashi

Migtsema is a short prayer of just five lines — yet within those five lines lies the blessing of three enlightened beings: Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani. Here is what each line means:

Objectless compassion, Chenrezig,
(Homage to the qualities of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion)

Lord of stainless wisdom, Manjushri,
(Homage to the qualities of Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom)

Conquering mara’s horders, Vajrapani,
(Homage to the qualities of Vajrapani, the Buddha of Power)

Crown jewel of the Sages of the Land of Snows, Tsongkhapa,
(Je Tsongkhapa, who perfectly embodies the qualities of all three of these buddhas)

Losang Drakpa, at your feet, I pray.
(A request for Tsongkhapa's blessing, that we too may accomplish these same qualities)

Because this prayer brings together the compassion, wisdom, and power of these three deities in a single verse, it is said to bring blessings especially quickly — helping to open one's wisdom while also clearing away obstacles and negative forces.
