BW Monastery Corporate Affairs Committee at Vesak Celebration 2025

On 4 May 2025, members of the BW Monastery Corporate Affairs Committee led by Jennifer Goh (Chairman) with Directors from our Education and General Affairs division Jiang Yuling, Yen QianYong, Joshua Lee, and Dharma Facilitator Roy Tan, had the privilege of attending the Vesak celebration organized by the Singapore Buddhist Federation. The event was graced by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who delivered an inspiring speech.

PM Wong commended the outstanding contributions of Buddhist organizations in Singapore, from acts of charity to promoting interfaith harmony. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the compassion and generosity demonstrated by Buddhist temples, embodying the timeless teachings of the Buddha—kindness, tolerance, selflessness, and moral integrity. As Singapore looks beyond SG60, PM Wong reminded us that these values form the bedrock of our unity as a nation. Compassion binds us, tolerance sustains us, and moral courage propels us toward a more inclusive, gracious, and harmonious Singapore.

During the event, we also had the pleasure of reconnecting with colleagues and friends from the interfaith community, strengthening our shared commitment to fostering understanding and harmony through our Interfaith Circle.
