Minister Ong’s and MPs Visit to BW Monastery on Vesak Day

On Vesak Day, Minister of Health Mr Ong Ye Kung, graced BW Monastery to join our auspicious Vesak celebrations. He was accompanied by MPs of Sembawang GRC Dr Lim Wee Kiak and Ms Mariam Jafaar. Our abbot, Venerable Ben Wen, lead the board of directors, the management committee, as well as our outstanding youths to warmly welcome the esteemed guests.

Our Monastery also welcomed thousands of devotees who all excitedly greeted Minister Ong and the MPs with handshakes and fervent photo-taking requests! Their sincerity and eagerness were all returned in kind.

Minister Ong and the MPs showed their concern with regards to our Monastery’s impact on the community, and placed strong emphasis on the importance of the physical and mental wellbeing of our youths.
