2022 吉祥赞颂营 BWM Insightful Praise Camp
自 2018 年举办了吉祥赞颂营以来，今年是吉祥宝聚寺成立20周年，吉祥寺文化艺术处很荣幸再次主办吉祥赞颂营。2022 年 9 月 11 日和 10 月 9 日（重播）共有 1,154 人在线参与。
我们温婉的司仪吳姿仪女士首先为大家娓娓道来介绍了筹委会。
除了筹委会，此外也非常感谢视频编辑,视听和吉祥寺传媒组团队们，幕后无私付出时间和精力来护持，让赞颂营队得以成办。
如吉法师为赞颂营的主带法师，如吉法师将这场赞颂课的标题命名为 “赞颂即是修行”。
我们也很荣幸的邀请到王子承教授上线与我们分享，他在领导、指挥赞颂曲和表演赞颂心得，让我们更深入了解师长送我们这么珍贵的赞颂。他还为我们带来了 赞颂“清凉月光”的表演。他的妻子和女儿缇缇以及其他 2 位加拿大艺术家也参与演出。王教授温馨提醒我们，在聆听赞颂的同时，我们也不要忘记，让自己不断进步，再去绕益有情和跟随善知识的发心。
总而言之，学习赞颂首先要调整我们的意乐，清楚认知供养的对象是我三宝，我们的动机是通过赞颂祈求供养，把教典里学到的教理结合心续 而提升心灵。正确的唱赞颂，本身就是一种修行。 赞颂不仅仅是为了娱乐。我们要努力学习，体会师长的深切关怀。我身为弟子，必须用心去领受这无价之宝，并弘扬、鼓励他人也去弘扬赞颂，使之广为接受，利益更多的众生。
广论班干部通过使用文化艺术部《赞颂即是修行 ：赞颂与广论》资料库把赞颂推广到 广论班。广论班干部一直在努力向所有广论班级介绍赞颂 和鼓励同学听赞颂。从 2022 年 6 月至 8 月，共有2,316 首赞颂分享到广论班里。

2022 BWM Insightful Praise Camp
It has been some time since 2018 that we held an Insightful Praise(IP) Camp in BW Monastery. This year, being BW Monastery’s 20th year anniversary, our Arts and Culture Department is very honoured to organise this camp again. We had a total of 1,154 attendees online for this program held on 11 Sep and 9 October 2022 (re-run).
Our articulate emcee, Ms Wu Zi Yi started off the program by introducing the organising committee.
Besides the organising committee, we are also extremely grateful to our video editing， AV team and BWM Media Team who have put in endless hours to make this camp possible for all our students.
IP Camp Topic : When IP is mentioned, who comes to mind?
Venerable Ru Ji is the key speaker for the camp. The first question he posted to us helped us reflect upon the gift of insightful praises to all sentient beings. It makes us reflect on our level of appreciation for such a precious gift.
We also have the honour to invite Professor Wang Tze-Cheng online with us to tell us more about performing the IP. He shared with us his experience in conducting the IP concerts and the responses from the audiences. He also brought us a performance of the IP “Cool Moonlight” during a recent PEI community event in Canada. His wife and daughter along with 2 other local artists performed with him.
Professor Wang also shared his experience of interacting with Venerable Ru Ji in his line of work. Venerable Ru Ji is very compassionate yet mindful. The meticulous effort he has for the entire production of IP MVs from their beginning to the end is very admirable. Venerable Ru Ji named the IP discourse “IP is Cultivation”.
Venerable Ru Ji asked us to reflect when IP is mentioned, what comes to mind. Is it a particular IP that we have an affinity with? Or a concert? Or some other scenarios.
Afterwhich, we listened to the IP “Soaring Over the Ten Bhumis”.
This IP portrays the scenario where the Guru preaches in the proper way and the disciple listens in the proper way, the Dharma is then passed down through the ages till modern times. We now through the preaching by our wise Gurus have heard the Dharma roaring into our ears like thunder, awakening our hearts.
The hardest thing about learning the Dharma, is to incite in the learner, a feeling of gratitude and affirmation in the Triple Gem, leading to the brave and unwavering spirit to seek refuge.
We all hope that we can bravely advance on the path of cultivation to reach the state of cognition of the Triple Gem with certainty. To be in cognition of the Triple Gem with certainty, it means that knowing the merits of the Triple Gem and then believing in the merits of the Triple Gem, giving rise to the certainty in seeking refuge in the Triple Gem forever.
Following that “Sakura Snow”, another IP was featured. Professor Wang reminded us that when we listen to this IP, we must also not forget our aspiration to help all sentient beings as well as to follow our wise teachers.
In conclusion:
When learning an Insightful Praise we have to first set our aspirations right and be clear that the recipient of our offering is Triple Gems, and our motivation is to supplicate and make offering to them through the Insightful Praises while integrating the teachings that we have learnt from the sutras and commentaries into transforming our minds.
Singing the Insightful Praises in the right way is itself a form of cultivation. Insightful Praises are not just for entertainment. We must work hard to learn them to experience the deep concern of our lineage masters. I, as a disciple, must use my heart to receive this priceless treasure and to propagate and encourage others to propagate the Insightful Praises as well, making them well received and benefitting more sentient beings.
Professor Wang’s introduction of the “Hello PEI!” Album
Professor Wang shared what has been keeping him busy for the past 2 years.
He introduced the album “Hello PEI!”, he also talked about the IP called “Cool Moonlight” in the album. The IP has four main instruments and they each symbolise a different aspect of the life on PEI. Finally, we have Professor Wang’s daughter, Betty who performed “Fly Me To The Moon” to wish all viewers a very Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
Lamrim Class Cadre has been introducing IP to the classes through the use of our ANC “IP and Lamrim” Database
The Lamrim class cadre has been hard at work introducing IP to all the Lamrim classes to encourage students to listen to the IP. From June to Aug 2022, there were 2,316 shares of IPs in the Lamrim classes.
Rejoice to Miss Julie Ng, a class monitor and Dharma Sisters: Foo Wah Im and Jannie Lim who shared how this IP sharing resource that ANC has painstakingly compiled has benefited them to share and listen to more IPs with the Lamrim classes and link these IPs to the Lamrim chapters they are learning in class.
