A Visit by President Madam Halimah Yacob to Blossom Seeds
On 8th February 2020, the President of Singapore, Madam Halimah Yacob made a visit to Blossom Seeds to show her care and support for the elderly community. Together with the volunteers, she distributed hand sanitisers, hand soap and wet wipes to some 30 seniors. Youths from Youth Corps Singapore were also present to guide the seniors on good personal hygiene practices, to protect themselves in the face of the Novel Coronavirus.
Blossom Seeds. a close partner of BW Monastery, is supported by many of our students and volunteers. Through participation of the volunteer work, many of us are able to apply the Dharma teachings into caring for the needy elderly living in the community.
It is indeed heartening to see how Blossom Seeds has blossomed over the years, and a great honour for Madam President to come by and show her support!
