A Companion Life After Life
Even though we are surrounded by all sorts of troubles in life, the Buddhist nature in our hearts is ever present. It is just a matter of us not having attained enlightenment and therefore we continue to be caught in a cyclical existence, from birth to death to rebirth, repeatedly life after life. Despite such a cycle and despite our wrongdoings in our everyday lives, Buddha and our virtuous teachers have never deserted us but instead they remain our steadfast companions in all our lives and continue to guide us fervently.
Our Master has said, “If you choose not to give up, I will continue to walk the last path with all of you.”
Our Master is as if a concerned mother, always caring and on the lookout for her children, carefully and preciously protecting them and nurturing them throughout their lives. Therefore, we have to strive our best to repay Buddha and the many virtuous teachers for their kindness and love, and for watching out over us. To do so, we will have to follow and practise the teachings accordingly, rectify our wrong views and correct our non-virtuous behaviors.
