【The General Characteristic of Karma】- You will experience their effects, like a dream, in your future lives

The Garland of Birth Stories:

【By accustoming themselves to virtuous and nonvirtuous karma Humans become habituated to these actions.
Though you may ignore such matters,
You will experience their effects, like a dream, in your future lives】

These are the words. By accustoming ourselves to virtuous or non-virtuous karma, normally you have habituated yourselves to non-virtues or perhaps you strive now to do virtues. If you have nurtured it enough, it will become your habit. In fact, we are controlled by our habits, controlled by our habits. Therefore, true cultivation of practice is to change the habits, to change the habits - because this habit will continue on for many future lives and eons. What happens after you have successfully nurtured the habit? Please pay attention to the following sentence! "Though you may ignore such matters, you will experience their effects, like a dream, in your future lives ." After you have successfully nurtured this habit, when it manifests in the next life, it will be like a dream. What does it mean to be like a dream? When you are dreaming, you do not know what is really going on. That is the way it is like in a dream. You simply go with the flow of things in a dream. Correct?

业果 : 他世现行犹如梦

【《本生论》亦云：「由修善不善诸业，诸人即成惯习性，如是虽不特策励，他世现行犹如梦。】

这个话。由于我们修或者是善业，或者不善业，平常你们习惯养成功这个不善的，或者现在努力要努力去做善的，你养成功了以后变成功习惯。现在实际上呢，我们每一个人都在我们的习性当中，习性当中，所以真正修行就要把那个习性改过来，就要改过来。那么这个习性是多生多劫一直会延下去的，当这个习性养成功了以后怎么办呢？下面这两句话，注意哦！「虽不特策励，他世现行犹如梦。」你养成功了习惯以后，到下一世它现行的时候，像梦当中一样。这梦当中什么意思啊？你在梦当中梦见的你也不晓得，梦当中就是这个样，跟着这个梦境转，对不对？
