【Mindfulness of Death 念死无常】All your worldly possessions, they can neither be seen nor heard
【Mindfulness of Death】- All your worldly possessions, they can neither be seen nor heard
【Also, Sri Jagan-mitrananda says”
Divine One, no matter what fortune you have gained,
When you depart to another life,
As though conquered by an enemy in the desert,
You are alone without children or queen,
Without friends, without clothing,
Without kingdom, and without palace.
Though you have limitless power and armies,
You will not see or hear them.
Eventually not even one being or thing
Will follow after you.
In brief, if you lack even a name,
What need is there to speak about anything else?】
Here it says that no matter how high is your social status, how much wealth you possess, when you die, what then?
“As though conquered by an enemy in the dessert”, it is as if you are being in captive by the enemy, you cannot take anything with you, not a single thing at all! Your loved ones such as children, spouse, and things like food, friends, country, status, no matter how strong your power is, there is nothing that you can take along with you. Therefore, he tells us “You will not see or hear them”, all your worldly possessions, they can neither be seen nor heard, this is the predicament!
