【The Three Types of Persons 】- the “quality” is absolutely pure, and the “quantitative measurement” is perfectly sufficient. 

Now, to put it simply, it means, actually in our study of Buddha Dharma, what is the entire content? That is, all included in these [i.e the paths of the three types of persons]. Thus, for you to engage in all of this, of course, there is a method. These are explained through two aspects: the “quality” is absolutely pure, and the “quantitative measurement” is perfectly sufficient. Then, how to solidify these into concrete facts? While working on it, actually doing it, there is still the requirement of a complete order of stages. Hence, the above 2 parts [see Note below] explain this. Therefore, the second part “why students are led in stages using the trainings of the three types of persons” explains this. 现在简单一点说，就是说，实际上我们修学佛法的整个的内容是什么？就是这一些。那么就这些东西你要做，当然有个方法，就这些说明了两样东西：“质”本身绝对是纯正，“量”是圆满。那么这一个东西怎么变成功具体事实？去处理的时候，做的时候，还要有个完整的次第，所以这两者当中说明了这个，所以第二个“显示由三士道如次引导之因相”就是讲明这点。
