皈依 : 乃至嬉笑，不舍三宝

【第六下至戏笑乃至命缘，应当守护不舍三宝者。】 

真正皈依了以后，最起码的，哪怕笑、开玩笑；最严重的，哪怕送了命都要努力守护，就是守护这个皈依，绝对不弃舍。皈依尚且如此，所以下面你皈依做到了，下面持戒等等自然都做到。所以这个根本只要做到了，上面就都做得到。现在实际上呢，就是我们那个根本没有，所以现在有很多人啊，哎哟，希望要求个菩萨戒，乃至于要求个密宗的大灌顶。不要这么忙，你先把皈依做好了，你皈依做好了，下面一样一样东西都很容易，自然都会得到。

【The Precepts of Refuge】- Even in jest, you do not forsake the Three Jewels

【6. Maintain your refuge and do not forsake the three jewels, even in jest or if it costs you your life. 】

When you truly have gone for refuge, at the very least, you will uphold it even in jest. In the most serious case, even if it costs you your life, you should put in great effort to maintain it. Maintain this refuge and absolutely do not forsake it. It is so for refuge, therefore, if you can maintain your refuge, you will naturally be able to uphold the precepts and others. Thus, as long as you can accomplish this fundamental, you will be able to accomplish all those mentioned above. The fact now is that we do not have that fundamental. So there are many people now, oh, hoping to get a Bodhisattva vow and perhaps even the great initiation of Mantra. Do not occupy yourself with that, practice your refuge well first.  When you are good at refuge, the rest will come easily one by one. You will naturally obtain them all.
