依师 - 修信不在身的距离

我跟仁法师住在隔壁，中间有个小小的库房，经常啊我们几天不讲一句话的，这个是千真万确。虽然每天有一个聊天的时间，总是到那时候大家，那时候你非出来不可，平常是不可以出来，那时候非出来不可！他那个生活也是啊很刻板，但我现在非常欢喜。那听他讲完了，一样大家进去，尽管如此，关在屋里面的更是鸦雀无声，没几个人嘛！但是你心里面觉得：欸，他就在隔壁，这样，你随时随地这个心里就感受到。那个时候啊，就不知不觉内心上面它有两样东西：当你不安的时候，他是个靠山;当你乱的时候，他会保得你像两个眼睛瞪大了，欸，你自然就收摄起来了，就这样。

Relying on the Teacher – Training in faith does not depend on physical distance

I lived in a room next to Dharma Master Rén. In between, there was a small storage room. We would often not speak a word to each other for a few days. This is absolutely true. Even though there was a period of time during each day when we could speak, which was the time that everyone had to come out. Usually, we were not supposed to come out, but during that period of time, we had to come out!
That way of life was very rigid, but I am now very fond of it. After everyone listened to his teaching, we would return to our own rooms. Even after we entered our rooms, we were even quieter as we stayed in the rooms. That was because there were not that many people to begin with! However in your mind, you would feel, “eh, he is next door” just like that; you would feel this in your mind at any point of time. At that time, there would be 2 things in your mind unconsciously : when you feel insecure, he is whom you can depend on; when your mind becomes distracted, he would safeguard you like he is staring at you with wide opened eyes. Eh, you would then naturally collect yourself. It is just like that.
