Qingming period is the time where we recall the kindness of our ancestors and cherish the memories of previous generations. It’s a traditional day to express our filial piety, and also an excellent opportunity encouraged under Buddhism to carefully follow the rites and practices with due diligence even after one’s parents have passed on.

With Qingming approaching, BW Monastery is holding the Qingming Gratitude Transcendence Puja to seek blessings for the previous generations and all beings. 

Let’s piously recite the sutras and dedicate the merits to our parents and loved ones of current and past lifetimes, using a sincere heart to seek transcendence for our ancestors, close relatives, karmic debtors and creditors from beginningless times, to be free from sufferings, attain happiness, and be reborn in pure land.
