The Buddha Said (2)
The Buddha said, “Benefiting sentient beings is like benefiting myself; hurting sentient beings is like hurting myself. Just like a mother who feels happy because someone helps her child, my heart rejoices when someone helps a sentient being. Just like a mother who feels sad because someone hurts her child, my heart feels sorrowful when someone hurts a sentient being.”

佛陀说（二）
佛陀说：“利益众生即是利益我，伤害众生即是伤害我。如同一个母亲，因为某人帮助他的孩子而感到欣喜；我的心，因为某个人帮助任何众生而感到欢喜。如同一个母亲，因为某人伤害她的孩子而感到悲伤；我的心，也因为某个人伤害任何众生而感到忧伤。”
