2023端午粽香思恩情
2023年6月18日，吉祥宝聚寺庆祝端午节暨父亲节，首次由关怀处与文化艺术处携手举办赞颂和朗诵表演。
这次十分荣幸邀请到三巴旺集选区议员佳馥梅女士（Ms Mariam）莅临吉祥寺和大众一同庆祝端午节。大殿座无虚席，与会者逾450人。
吉祥宝聚寺特别安排1吉祥宝聚寺特别安排17日和18日（两天）招待公众人士吃粽子，让大家感受浓浓的中华文化传统节日的气氛。
下午2点准时开始，大会特播一个短片介绍端午节的由来、透由端午节吃粽子，缅怀并绵延爱国爱民精神。
这次参与表演的人数约300人——8组表演赞颂、5组表演朗诵，大家都是怀着感恩心来作音声供养。
一连串精彩的表演让人目不暇接。首首动听的赞颂曲目——《礼拜佛陀》、《幸福时刻》、《相思湖畔》、《樱花雪》等以及朗诵表演——《善慧教法广弘文》、《论语》、《十法经》等愉悦大众，大家其乐融融。
在佛光的沐浴下，时间过得特别快，约3点半圆满结束。
大回向后，大众很荣幸能够与净远法师和本闻法师大合照，为2023年端午节划下圆满的句点。我们明年端午节见！
Gratitude during the Dragon Boat Festival 2023
On June 18, 2023, BW Monastery commemorated Dragon Boat Festival and celebrated Father’s Day.
For the first time, the Care Department and the Arts and Culture Department jointly organised the Insightful Praises and Recitation of Scriptures performances on this day.
It is a great honour to have with us, Ms. Mariam Jaafar, Member of Parliament for Sembawang GRC, who graced our events and joined devotees in BW Monastery.
The main shrine hall was packed to the brim with more than 450 participants.
BW Monastery especially arranged for a treat of rice dumplings on the 17th and 18th June 2023 (two days), so that we can preserve and create awareness of traditional cultural values like loving our nation and our people as well as gratitude towards our parents and country.
Starting at 2:00 pm, a short video introducing the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, eating rice dumplings during the Dragon Boat Festival as well as remembering the spirit of patriotism was shared.
About 300 people participated in the performance — 8 groups performing Insighful Praises and 5 groups doing recitations.
Everyone made voice offerings to Triple Gem with gratitude. The collection of wonderful performances was amazing.
The Insightful Praises included: "Prostrating to the Buddha", "Moments of Happiness", "Reminiscing by the Lake of Gratitude", "Cherry Blossom in Snow", etc. The recitation performances included "Prayers to the flourishing of Je Tsong Kha Pa's Teachings", "Confucius - The Analects", "Ten Dharma Sutras" and etc.
These delighted the public, and everyone had a great time.
Blessed with Buddha's compassionate rays of wisdom, time passed very quickly and the event ended at about 3:30pm.
At this big reunion, we too took a group photo with Venerable Jing Yuan and Venerable Ben Wen at the finale of the 2023 Dragon Boat Festival Commemoration. See you again at the next Dragon Boat Festival!
