Rooted in Compassion: Dharma Enrichment Workshop 2026

This Dharma Enrichment Workshop (DEW) exuded a warm, cozy ambience from the start, with more than 600 participants from Singapore (500+) and Malaysia (100+ via zoom), in BW Monastery’s Main Shrine Hall, under the compassionate gaze of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The participants are students who have been learning the Lamrim (Stages on the Path to Enlightenment) for 1 to 6 years.

Venerable Jing Yuan, who is the first Abbot of BW Monastery and the most senior venerable, gave the opening discourse about this DEW’s theme – Profound Compassionate Care. He guided everyone to understand the difference between general care and profound compassionate care that covers our infinite lives.

Senior Lecturers (Glenda Tan, Adeline Tay, David Sim, Jennifer Goh, Vincent Lim & Adeline Wong) then gave engaging and inspiring presentations to guide everyone in learning the Profound Compassionate Care that started from Buddha:

In the closing segment, everyone sang the heartwarming Insightful Praises “Virtuous Friends”  & “The Lotus Metaphor Praise 2”, followed by making a sincere aspiration to continue learning Buddha’s Stages on the Path to Enlightenment from our Virtuous Teachers; and Venerable Ben Wen gave everyone a closing discourse.
