BW Monastery Celebrates Buddha Day at Tzu Chi’s 60th Anniversary Event

BW Monastery is deeply honoured and grateful to be invited to participate in a meaningful celebration organised by Tzu Chi Merit Society (Singapore) at Yishun Stadium on 10 May.

Despite an afternoon downpour, the skies soon cleared, allowing thousands of participants and volunteers to gather in a spirit of harmony and joy. In a serene and respectful atmosphere, everyone came together to bathe the Buddha, offering heartfelt prayers for peace, safety, and well-being for all.

We were also deeply inspired to witness the presence of His Excellency President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, together with interfaith representatives, monastic community, and distinguished guests from various sectors, coming together in unity for this meaningful occasion.

BW Monastery was represented by Venerable Daochi and Corporate Affairs Committee members Ms Jennifer Goh, Roy Tan, and Alex Tan, who were present to share in this auspicious gathering and offer their support to the event.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr Low Swee Seh, CEO of Tzu Chi Foundation (Singapore), for his kind hospitality and gracious coordination throughout the event.

BW Monastery rejoices in this precious opportunity to connect with the wider community and to take part in such a meaningful occasion. May the merits generated be dedicated to the happiness of all beings, and may peace, compassion, and harmony continue to flourish in our society.
