Mr. Ong Ye Kung visits BW Monastery during Chinese New Year

On the sixth day of Chinese New Year, we were deeply honoured to welcome Mr. Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, to BW Monastery.

During his visit, Minister Ong observed the meaningful tradition of drawing Divination Lots before Guan Yin at our Guan Yin Hall and struck the bell three times, offering heartfelt well-wishes for family harmony, national prosperity, and world peace.

Beyond the rituals, he took time to tour the monastery grounds, immerse himself in the festive atmosphere, and warmly engage with the thoughtfully prepared community activities. His presence brought great encouragement to our devotees and volunteers alike.

We sincerely appreciate his visit and steadfast support, and remain grateful for his affirmation of our continued efforts in serving the spiritual and social needs of the community.

May the year ahead be filled with unity, compassion, and shared progress for all.
