From Learning to Leading: A Celebration of the 2024 Assistant Monitors
Last Sunday marked a truly joyous and fulfilling milestone for 26 dedicated graduates. The Assistant Monitor Graduation Ceremony was graced by the presence of Venerable Ben Wen, along with lecturers, facilitators, and a devoted team of committee members. Together, they gathered to celebrate the culmination of nearly a year of dedication, perseverance, and heartfelt learning.
This long-awaited day was a proud moment for the graduates, who now stand ready to take on their responsibilities with mindfulness and purpose.
Venerable Ben Wen delivered an inspiring discourse on embracing the responsibilities of an Assistant Monitor. He reminded everyone that while stress is inevitable, it is also necessary on our path of learning and growth.
Adding a meaningful touch to the celebration, participants created their own DIY lamps—a symbolic gesture to stay grounded and to remember that only the light of wisdom can dispel the darkness of afflictions.
The ceremony concluded with a moving rendition of the meaningful insightful praise《雪落》, followed by a vast offering, a heartwarming bonding session, and heartfelt reflections from two graduates. Their words of gratitude and insight revealed the depth of transformation they experienced throughout the journey.
