Lama Tsong Kha Pa Day (Auspicious Light Festival) 圆根灯会

In the past week, BW Monastery was bustling with activities as we commemorate the author of Lamrim Chenmo, Master Tsong-kha-pa!

An exhibition is set up to introduce our lineage masters, starting from Buddha himself. Students attended guided tours led by lecturers and volunteers during their usual class time!

At the conclusion of the week-long exhibition, we held the closing ceremony with a Master Tsong Kha Pa Puja. The ceremony was seamlessly held in both English and Chinese by our very own Youth Chanting group. It was a heartfelt occasion where drawing around 1200 devotees came together to commemorate and express our deep gratitude towards our esteemed lineage masters.

250,000 Lights were also lit throughout the week! 🕯️

Initially, we aimed for a total of 100,000 candles to be lit here in BW Monastery, however, 250,000 candles were lit up instead, surpassing our expectations! Rejoice to all participants as well as the committee for our very first Lama Tsong Kha Pa Day held in BW Monastery! See you next year!
