Visit by Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District

Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District, and his team of officers made a visit to BW Monastery today.

Through our exchange, we discovered many common goals between North West CDC and BW Monastery. One common goal is to promote cohesion among the different ethnic and religious groups in Singapore. To do that, it is important that we reach out to the community and organise activities of different interests. Both North West CDC and BW Monastery have been actively raising awareness about healthy living, racial and religious harmony. There are also efforts to increase the environmental consciousness among residents.

As the old saying goes: “Two Heads are Better than One.” We are heartened that the two organisations can definitely collaborate more with each other to explore more communal activities that will benefit the residents and society. A big thank you to Mayor Teo and your passionate team for coming by and sharing with us your candid stories! We learnt so much from all of you!
