弥陀圣诞大法会 一心称念得佛护
今天12月8日吉祥宝聚寺隆重启建弥陀圣诞法会，念诵《拔一切业障得生净土陀罗尼》十万遍。
早上九时，阳光和煦，吉祥寺的大殿来了几百名虔诚的信众，正等待诵经恭祝阿弥陀佛之诞辰。
5分钟的前行影片讲述阿弥陀佛与极乐世界的由来，接着由如泉法师开示往生咒的意涵：然后圆满法师用英语开示阿弥陀佛西方净土乐园的意境。
如泉法师策励大众在专注念咒时，应先观想阿弥陀佛在头顶上，并发光加持；法师也分派每人一串念珠，大家一起念诵往生咒万遍，并手持兰香供佛忆念阿弥陀佛。

中午在上供及过坛后，进行下半场诵经法会。
如泉法师再次告诉大众，阿弥陀佛意为无量光明，一心称念必得佛护念，并在念咒中得佛依靠往生净土。圆满法师则以英语讲述阿弥陀佛曾发四十八大愿救度众生，故我们也要效学祂，成佛后救拔众生。
接着大众以极虔诚之心，继续念诵万遍往生咒。诵经之声清晰嘹亮，在大殿中荧绕，如得甘露般飘洒。
压轴仪式是法师用灯宝(无量光)为大众加持，大众将双手举至眉间，领受法师无量光加持。有这意义非凡的灯宝加持，信众可得光明以净罪积资。
今天法会有5位比丘法师和6位比丘尼法师全程参与与引导。历时3小时多的弥陀法会在念诵十万遍往生咒后圆满。
法会结束后，约六百名大众井然有序排队领取由法师亲手分发的加持水，个个脸上都堆满了无比的喜悦。这必也是得菩萨放光加持后所呈祥瑞之象——法会功德殊胜行！

或许因为家婆刚往生，这次法会念诵《拔一切业障根本得生净土陀罗尼》时，我比以往专注，一心希望可以把功德与祝福送给家婆。
在主法法师用心解释咒语义涵及引导如何观想阿弥陀佛的无量光明遍照法界后，在练习观想很亮的光普照十方时，突然感觉一道光从顶门进入全身，此道光遍及四面，乃至三恶道有情......
法会安排了法师到每个信徒面前引导，对如何正确观想很有帮助。感恩有法师引导，愿被今日法会现场所有的人所祝福者，乃至一切有情，都可以如愿往生阿弥陀佛西方极乐净土，早日成就佛果，普度一切如母有情！
BW Monastery has specially organised the Amitabha's Birthday Celebration Puja and I had this great opportunity to take part in this joyous occasion.
Venerable Yuan Man mentioned in his discourse that Amitabha , The King Of Buddha , really loves us. He used 5 Kalpas which is 1.28 trillion human years of his merits to build pure land for the benefits of all sentient beings. We will be able to go to pure land even just by chanting 10 times , however we must be ready to go to pure land . Upon death, we must not be attached to our family or assets. Our last thought should be nothing else but wishing to go to pure land . We should set our motivation right, that is , not only I should go to pure land, everyone else should go too.
Venerable also shared an interesting story about a skilled thief who became a monk with the motive to steal the most precious thing in the temple, which is the Amitabha statue. He didn’t get the chance as he was assigned to work in the kitchen. Everyday Amitabha was the only thing in his mind so much so that one day he gained enlightenment . Venerable told us that being able to focus and concentrate especially during chanting is crucial . We can accumulate merit and virtues, and gain benefits together.
