皈依 : 采取佛法的概念

我们并不是把世间的东西不要。而是说为了我们现在的生活，把世间的很多概念，像医生，普通世间的贸易，由在家人作为我们存活的这个帮助，帮助的条件，这个可以的，也是应该的，但是绝对不是以这个为主！所以通常情况之下，譬如说，它这个概念跟佛法告诉我们的概念有矛盾冲突的地方，我们一定采取佛法的概念，不再照世间的，不再照世间的。这一点特别注意！不是说不要它们的。

【The Precepts of Refuge】- Adopt Buddhism’s concepts

It is not that we do not want anything from the mundane world. Rather, it is to say that in order to live, we regard the many concepts in the mundane world, such as  doctors and worldly businesses (in the case of lay practitioners)  as aid for survival, i.e. as the conditions for helping us. This is okay and should be as such. However, we should never make this our primary focus! Therefore, under normal circumstances, for instance, when its concepts conflict or contradict with Buddhism's concepts, we must certainly adopt Buddhism's concept and stop following the worldly ways, stop following the worldly ways. Make a special note of this! It does not mean that we do not want any of the things of the world.
