On 9 August 2022 National Day, let’s celebrate Singapore’s 57th birthday, We will recite the Karunika-rāja Prajñāpāramitā Sutra to seek blessings for the country and her people.

The Karunika-rāja Prajñāpāramitā Sutra was taught by the Buddha to King Prasenajit and 16 other kings on how to guard the Buddha nature, cultivate 10 virtuous deeds and protect their countries. It is stated that, by reciting the sutra, practice according to the teachings, one will be able to eliminate all calamities and achieve bliss, leading to all beings achieving stability, happiness and peace.

On this auspicious day, let’s pay reverence, recite, and aspire for Buddhahood. May the pandemic ends swiftly, for the country to be prosperous, safety and peace for her people, and all families to be well and healthy.
