Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, who holds a vase with willow branch, has a magnificent look that embodies compassion, and is equipped with limitless wisdom and supernatural abilities.
As long as one recites, in the heart and mind, “Om Mani Padme Hum”, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva will come to the rescue upon hearing it to eliminate all beings’ afflictions and distress, and satisfies all wishes and aspirations. Hence, it is extremely auspicious to take refuge in the Triple Gem on the birthday of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. Not only will one experience the compassion of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva and his wholeheartedness in liberating all beings from sufferings, one will also abide by the teachings of the Buddha; avoiding non-virtuous deeds and performing virtuous deeds, becoming a worthy disciple of the Buddha.
