【RELYING ON THE TEACHER】- Applying seriously is more important than praising and admiring
SOURCE 来源 :
【This being the case, those who achieve their own livelihood by praising or explaining the good qualities of the trainings, while not striving diligently to practice them, are not suitable to be teachers. 】
With the preceding discussion, if one does not apply it seriously or is not even inspired to apply mindfully and merely praises and admires the teaching by talking about various benefits. We have to experience and recognize this concept very clearly and explicitly. That is, for us Buddha Dharma practitioners, each one of us has great admiration towards Buddha Dharma – ah, Buddha is so remarkable, truly extraordinary. Use this attitude to praise the three Jewels, but what is more important is how we can learn from it, how to study it. These are two different things [aspiration and actual practice], two separate matters.
