19th day of the second lunar month is the birthday of the magnificent and affable looking, great compassionate Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. As the famous stanzas go, “(He) answers all sentient beings’ prayers everywhere and anywhere, bringing everyone across the ocean of suffering to the shore of happiness”, so long as one recites the name of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva wholeheartedly, all prayers will be answered and fulfilled, with smooth conditions.
